Available to all customers of the Murray Aquatic & Leisure Centre, our crèche provides a caring environment for your children to enjoy themselves whilst you are making use of the facilities.

Suitable for children from 8 weeks of age, the crèche is open Monday to Saturday at the following times –

  • Monday 8.45am – 11.45am
  • Tuesday 8.45am – 11.45am
  • Wednesday 8.45am – 11.45am
  • Thursday 8.45am – 11.45am
  • Friday 8.45am – 11.45am
  • Saturday 8.00am – 11.30am

View Creche Information

Our crèche service is available to all customers, of the Murray Aquatic & Leisure Centre and is suitable for children 8 weeks to 5 years of age. Our crèche provides a caring environment for your child/ren to enjoy themselves whilst you are making use of the facilities. Parents must remain within the Centre whilst their child/ren are in the crèche. Please be advised our crèche is operated under the Child/ren and Community Services Act 2004.
First Visit
First time visitors to the crèche are required to complete a Crèche Enrolment Form. These forms are available from crèche staff or reception. All information obtained is kept strictly confidential. If you have concerns about your child becoming distressed when you leave, please let us know as we may be able to suggest ways to assist your child to adjust to the new environment.
On Arrival
Payment is to be made at reception where a ticket will be issued to you for entry into the crèche. Each child must be signed in on the attendance register and signed out on departure.
Pick Up
Children can only be collected by the parent who signs them in unless prior arrangements have been made with staff.
What to Bring
• Supply something healthy to eat & drink (please note we are a nut free zone)
• Please bring a pram if your child is under 2 years of age
• Label all belongings including drink bottles
Head Lice
In cases of head lice, children are not permitted into the crèche until all eggs and lice (dead or alive) have been removed.
Should an incident occur whilst your child is in the crèche, a report will be completed by staff. Parents are asked to countersign the form to confirm they have been notified.
To protect your child/ren, other children and staff, please keep your child at home if they display any symptoms of illness. For example:
• High temperature
• Diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 24 hours
• Conjunctivitis
• Rashes
• Cold or flu symptoms
If your child is too sick to go to school they are too sick to attend crèche. If your child has suffered from a communicable disease, a doctor’s clearance is required before they can return to the crèche.
Should your child become distressed while in the crèche all attempts will be made to settle them, however you may be requested to attend to your child.
In the event of an emergency, staff will evacuate children to the nearest muster point. Parents are asked not to re-enter the crèche and are to collect their child/ren directly from the muster point.

Holiday Crèche

  • During the School Holidays the Crèche will be available for children up to 10 years.
  • Children 11 years and over, are welcome to use the courts or swim at the casual cost.
  • Children using the courts will need to bring their own basketballs etc as the Centre does not hire out equipment.
