  • I started using Living Longer Living Stronger (LLLS) when we decided that we would visit the gorillas in Rwanda (2014). To get to see the gorillas, requires a certain level of fitness, as you have to make your way up and through the jungle, climb up steep muddy tracks, at altitude and depending on where your allocated gorilla family is located on the day, you could have to hike for several hours.
The trainers at LLLS were excellent in writing a program to suit my needs.
On our return to Australia, we told the LLLS trainers that our next adventure would be the 4 day hike, up the Machu Picchu trail. (2016) The trail consists of several high passes at an altitude of 4200mtrs. Again the girls wrote a suitable program.
In April of 2017, I had a knee replacement, which had complications and recovery was not as quick as I would have liked.
Once again the LLLS trainers wrote a suitable program that enabled me to head down the path of recovery quicker.

A hidden positive, is the social interaction of fellow participants, after the session, over a coffee. A lot of people say it’s just as important as the gym itself and how they probably wouldn’t come if it was not for the friendship that has been built up.

  • Following my stroke, I joined the Living Longer Living Stronger program run at MLC on the advice of my physician. Both my therapist and I continue to see ongoing improvements, which has resulted in this year being able to pick up and handle my birds and enter the Perth Royal Show. I highly recommend the program and the staff who run the LLLS program.
